Side Discharge Batch Debarking

• Three or more rotors intruding into a static bin
• No transfer plates between the rotors – hence open bottom – patented feature
• All or portions of the rotor disc interleaf to retain fibre – hence live floor – patented feature
• Each successive rotor, from low position thru the high position, rotates at an increased rate to prevent pull thru.
• Rotors are placed at a compound angle for optimized rotation.
• High frequency of abrader blocks on the rotors.
• Each disc carries a throat
• Each rotor carries a helix or spiral.
• Each rotor carries a specific selected interface.
• Rotors can vary in diameter to suit the bin and the diet.
• Discs can vary in diameter to provide desired overlap.
• Tooling is flat and wide faced.
• Rotors rotate and in turn agitate and tumble the fibre
• Debarker is placed flat.
• Abraders bruise the bark and create a weak point at the bark to fibre interface where the rubbing of log on log completes the bark removal process.

• Fed over the side parallel to the rotor, grapple or button top feed, crane feed, cradle feed, surge decks, etc.
